Chulu West Peak Climbing

Overview

From the Chulu Basecamp, your destination should be ascending steep slopes (16076ft) on a subsidiary ridge that leads down from the main ridge. To the north of the Col ascends snow slope for 200 meters to the base of the band of rocks at an altitude of 5100 meters and the site for the possible high camp. Climb the rock band with some uneasy steps to the North West shoulder of Chulu West (5450m) there another camp can be established or alternative can be placed on a snow plateau above 5530m. On the first ascent and several subsequent ascends rope was fixed on rock band. From the plateau continue up the progressively narrowing ridge to the summit of 6250m.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & transfer hotel.

Day 02: Prepared permit & trekking.

Day 03: Kathmandu. Drive to Besi Sahar.

Day 04: Besi Sahar - Nyagdi.

Day 05: Nyagdi -Jagat.

Day 06: Jagat -Dharapani. 

Day 07: Dharapani -Chame.

Day 08: Chame -Pisang Village.

Day 09: Pisang – Manang.

Day 10: Manang - rest for acclimatizing.

Day 11: Manang – Chulu west Base Camp.

Day 12: Chulu west high camp.

Day 13: High camp- Summit back to BC.

Day 14: BC – Thorong Basecamp. 

Day 15: BC - Thorong Pass - Muktinath. 

Day 16: Muktinath - Jomsom.

Day 17: Jomsom – Kalopani.

Day 18: Kalopani – Tatopani.

Day 19: Tatopani – Ghorepani.

Day 20: Ghorepani – Tirkhedunga.

Day 21: Tirkhedunga – Birethati, Nayapul & drive to Pokhara.

Day 22: Drive to Kathmandu.
